Dr. Mark Erickson

mark-temporaryDR. MARK ERICKSON

Hello – my name is Mark Erickson and thank you for coming to the Insight Physical Therapy website.  Insight Physical Therapy is an independently owned physical therapy clinic in Hartland, WI.

To introduce myself, I have been practicing physical therapy for 31 years helping people with orthopedic rehabilitation, persistent pain and body awareness training.

In addition to maintaining a small private practice for the past 22 years, I am currently a Professor of Physical Therapy at Carroll University where I teach Orthopedics and I held a similar position in the Physical Therapy program at UW-Madison before moving to Hartland in 2003.

I’ve earned a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, a Masters Degree in Education, an advanced Doctor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy (DScPT), American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists Certification in Orthopedics, Certification as an Orthopedic Manual Therapist, and Certification as a Practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method.

I was born and raised a Packer fan in Green Bay and moved from Madison to Hartland in 2003.

My goal is to provide excellent physical therapy and body awareness training services in a supportive, compassionate and caring environment.  I have discovered throughout the years that body awareness plays a key role in relieving pain, treating or preventing injury and enhancing performance.  Therefore, I emphasize treatment interventions, primarily the Feldenkrais Method, Manual Therapy, and Therapeutic Exercise, to improve body awareness and provide patients with insight into how to use their body more efficiently and effectively.  I believe one-on-one, hands-on physical therapy that is cost effective and empowers people to meet their goals best serves my patients, and I devote 60-90 minutes of 1:1 care to each patient during an office appointment.

My practice is a solo practice and I serve as my own administrative assistant.  My fees are 25-400% less than other physical therapy providers in the area, and I’m able to offer evening and weekend appointments as well as home visits.  Enclosed please information about the Feldenkrais Method of body awareness training.  If you are interested in additional information or would like to schedule an appointment, please click here.  I will return your call or email as soon as possible and I look forward to working with you . Thank you very much for considering me to be your physical therapist.
